I never imagined myself in the field of education—but like many parents, everything changed when it was time for my son to start Kindergarten. When we couldn’t find a school in Casper that aligned with our family’s values and vision, I joined forces with a dear friend to create something new. Powder River Prep was born out of a desire to build a learning environment where kids thrive—academically, personally, and spiritually. As a founder and board member, I’m deeply committed to shaping a school that supports both students and families. It’s been incredibly rewarding to take an active role in my child’s education and to help redefine what learning can look like. My hope is that, through this journey, we can also create a roadmap for others—making it easier for families across Wyoming and beyond to start their own microschools that reflect what matters most to them.

I’ve always been proud to call Wyoming home and boast about all that it has to offer. Along the way, though, I discovered a gap—Wyoming was missing an educational partner that could truly support families in guiding their children’s learning journeys. That realization sparked the creation of Powder River Prep.
What started as a vision shared between a couple of determined moms, backed by prayer and persistence, has grown into something deeply meaningful. We believed we could help shape a better path forward by assembling the right team—and we did.
It’s both an honor to serve as a board member and a privilege to be an engaged parent at this incredible school . I’m grateful for the opportunities this state gives our families and thrilled to see how God has brought together like-minded parents and children to form the Powder River Prep family.
As a Mental Health Counselor by profession, I truly believe this is one of the most important investments we can make—for our kids, for our communities, and for our future. After all, our children are the future

I am excited to have the opportunity to be involved with Powder River Prep and to help support an educational option to children and families that will focus on academics as well as real world experiences.

I am excited to join Powder River Prep for the vision of what it will bring to our community. After working for years in education and schools around the country, it is clear Powder River Prep will be a forerunner to what a values-driven education can look like. This will collide school and families in a beautiful partnership.
